As a brewmaster, I worked for more than 10 y on the development of new recipes and new processes for beer, in the development team of InBev. These projects were either marketing driven or technical driven. Topics covered are very heterogeneous, from changes in the raw materials used to the use of flavours in beer, beers with refermentation, beers with reduced alcohol content, ...

The organisation of the New Products on Show will always remain to be one of my best memories. Here, a kind of market situation was created where people both from marketing and technical could meet. In several boots, new (non) alcoholic drinks were presented; touching and tasting strongly recommended. The available products ignite new ideas and conversations. People get to know each other better.

The real knowledge management work started when I was asked to develop a list of all ongoing innovation projects. This quickly evolved into a full project portfolio management system (lovingly referred to as PAMS). This included project categorization, standard financial evaluation tools (NPV), time registration module, dashboards (Pearl and Oyster), document management, ...

Step by step I entered the full knowledge management world : intranet, content management, document management and collaboration. My role in this has always been how the user interfaces with these new technologies, which is basically a change management story from creating awareness to implementing sustainable processes.
Since the end of 2007, I manage my professional life myself. I would like to help with the implementation of knowledge management projects, as a bridge between on one side the IT department, focused on the technology, and on the other side the user community trying to figure our how to use all this new stuff.
